Jay Lauritsen
Jay Lauritsen, Pastor

Jay Lauritsen was born and raised in Warner Robins and graduated from Warner 
Robins High School in 1980. In 1985 he married Sandra Shepherd Lauritsen also 
of Warner Robins and a 1981 graduate of Northside High School. They have three 
children, Jessica Lauritsen Tharpe (Husband Matthew), Joshua Lauritsen (Wife 
Abbey) and Andrew Lauritsen, and six grandchildren.

After his calling into the ministry while at Second Baptist Church, he 
attended Brewton Parker College and graduated with a B.Min. In 1985. He then 
attended Mid America Baptist Theological Seminary where he received a M.Div. 
in 1989. 

In his ministry Jay has pastored three churches; First Baptist of Centerville 
TN, Peachtree Baptist of Byron GA, and Rehoboth Baptist of Perry GA. 

With the blessings of Rehoboth Baptist Church and the Rehoboth Baptist 
Association, He and Sandra will begin a new ministry, ìThe Home Church Of 
Middle Georgiaî (You can learn about this ministry on facebook at "The Home

ìWhen God by His grace called me to Himself, He gave me a new heart to love 
and serve Him and people. My lifeís desire is to glorify God and share his 
goodness with others.î
