Obituary for Alice Elizabeth Warren (Humphrey)

Kathleen, GA – Alice Elizabeth (Humphrey) Warren, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at her residence. The visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. The services celebrating her life will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 11:00 am at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with interment immediately following at Parkway Memorial Gardens. Reverend Mike Winfree will be officiating the services.
Alice was born on July 8, 1938, in Wichita Falls, TX to the late Jack and Mary Irene (Poteet) Humphrey. She was a college graduate with a bachelor’s degree. After college she fell in love and married a military man, and she devoted her life to him and raising their children. Alice was very much involved with her children and their school activities. She served on various committees and helped run school fundraisers. Alice was a lady of high integrity, who always put others before herself. She would often donate her funds to classmates of her children, so everyone could participate in school functions or simply enjoy the snack bar. Alice was also very active in her church, having served as church pianist, as well as the pianist with the children’s ministry. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church, where she loved to serve, fellowship, and worship with her church family. Alice also served as past president with the Warner Robins Art Association.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gord Bob “Jordan” Warren; sisters: Irene Wyatt and Nina Crabtree; brother: Jack Humphrey.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Jordan Warren (Stephanie) of Woodstock, GA; daughters: Julie Willis of Byron, GA and Mary Watkins (Reece) of Kathleen, GA; grandchildren: Kelly Behling (Alex), Lindsay Nicholson, Brandon Thrasher (Rachel), Jackson Riley Warren, and Caroline Elizabeth Warren; great grandchildren: Alexis Marie Haddock, and Emmett Nolan Thrasher; sisters: Linnie Kocks of Wichita Falls, TX, and Katie Mason of Lawton, OK.
