Obituary for Andy David Dykes
Reynolds, GA – Andy David Dykes, 65, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. A visitation will be held at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 6-8 pm. Andy will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Antioch Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude’s, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Andy was born on February 7, 1957, in Macon, GA to the late James and Louise (Ogburn) Dykes. He was a 1975 graduate of Beechwood Schools. Years later he graduated from Georgia Southwestern in 1980 with his bachelor’s degree and went on to become a Health Inspector for the State of Georgia. Andy was a faithful servant of Antioch Baptist Church. In his free time, Andy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming hay.
Andy is preceded in death by his parents James and Louise Dykes and his beloved brother, Charlie Dykes.
Left to cherish His memory is his beloved wife, Kelly (Anthoine) Dykes of Reynolds, GA; brother: Jack Dykes of Reynolds, GA; and 5 nieces and nephews.
