Obituary for Anne Usry Stanford (Ross)
Byron, GA- Orma Anne Usry Stanford, 73, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Medical Center Navicient Health in Macon, GA. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. The visitation for family and friends will also be held on Tuesday from 1:00 until service time at 3:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Anne was born on June 7, 1945 in Moultrie, GA to the late Orman Grady and Annie Ruth (Newsome) Ross. She worked as the office manager for Valley Construction for over 20 years and also with Cleveland Electrical. After her retirement and the death of her husband Jack Usry, Anne worked with Parkway Memorial Gardens as an office clerk and counselor to the many families they serve. She loved shopping, crocheting and sewing in her spare time, but her greatest love and passion was her family. Anne attended Faith Baptist Church in Bonaire, GA. In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Usry; son, John Ross Usry and great-grandson, Barron Asher McLemore.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved high school sweetheart and husband of 5 years, Joe Stanford of Byron, GA; daughters: Kathy McLemore (Rory) of Byron, GA and Michelle Vincent (Tony) of Warner Robins, GA; step-sons: Darron Stanford (Elaine) of Doerun, GA and James Stanford (Teresa) of Moultrie, GA; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
