Mr. Arthur Lewis Nelson Sr, age 66, was born on November 9, 1953 in Mobile, AL to the late James Percy Nelson and Jannie Lou (Dexter) Nelson. He retired from the City of Warner Robins, where he worked in the ground’s maintenance division. He was a faithful and active member of Fellowship Bible Baptist Church in Warner Robins. Arthur enjoyed fishing, cooking, singing and dancing, although his family says he had no rhythm. He enjoyed being around people and he never met a stranger. If you were his friend, then you were his family. Arthur dearly loved his family and will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters: Robert Nelson Sr., Christine Hudson, and Emma Williams.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 39 years, Lorann (Smith) Nelson of Warner Robins, GA; children: Angela Taylor (Tarryl) of Stockbridge, GA, Arthur Lewis Nelson, Jr. (Bethany) of Woodstock, GA, Anthony Nelson (Summer) of Stockbridge, GA, Arnishkia Nelson (Jacquenya) of Columbia, SC and Antuanette Edwards (Corey) of Warner Robins, GA; goddaughter: Shaundra Milner (Marlin) of Warner Robins, GA; brothers: Johnny Nelson, Sr. of Conley, GA and Raymond Nelson of Warner Robins, GA; sisters: Janie Cade (Wash) of Warner Robins, GA, Lillie Miller (Harold) of San Diego, CA, Nancy Bussie of Warner Robins, GA, Selicia Wynn (Leon) of Warner Robins, GA; devoted brother/sister in-laws: Vivian Clark (Henry), Linda Watkins, Rutha Jackson (Clarence), Joyce Smith, Elizabeth Jackson, Leroy Bagley (Diane), Lenyard Smith (Louise), Willie Tharpe, Charles Smith (Sharon), 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
