Obituary for Ashley Kitchens (King)

Orange Park, FL – Ashley (King) Kitchens, 43, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park, FL. Services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 11:00 am at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with Reverend Jay Lauritsen officiating. The viewing for family and friends will be held one hour prior and immediately following the services.
Ashley was born in Macon, GA on May 11, 1978, to the late Joy (Pearson) Bridges and Hunter Fred King. She was a 1996 graduate of Northside High School, as well as Georgia State and Mercer Universities graduating with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Ashley aspired of becoming a lawyer, but God had other plans, so she became a wife and mother. Ashley was a, as she put it, a God fearin, fish catchin, UGA lovin, cake bakin, trail blazin, happily married mother of 3. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, James Franklin Kitchens, Sr. of Orange Park, FL; adoring children: James “Kit” Kitchens, Jr., Hunter Kale Kitchens, and Karabelle Joy Kitchens, and a host of other family members.
With honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
