Perry, GA – Barbara Cheryl (Gordy) Forney, 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at her residence.
Cheryl was born on August 4, 1947 in Thomaston, GA to the late Plase Malone Gordy and Barbara (Boyt) Gordy. She retired as a hairdresser after many years. Cheryl enjoyed camping, crocheting, working in her flower garden, but her greatest joy were her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Forney; sister: Teresa Ann Golden; stepbrother: Gary Mullins; great-grandson: Decklan Nesmith.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Kevin Reid (Angela) of Montezuma; stepsons: Shaughn Forney and Kyle Forney (Mary); grandchildren: Morgan Forney, Taylor Nesmith, and Jordan Reid; great-grandchildren: Aubreigh Forney and Wyatt Forney; stepsisters: Debbie Mullins Ellington and Tammy Mullins Clay; stepmother: Mary Rogers.
