Obituary for Beatrice Thompson (Peacock)
Lizella, GA – Beatrice (Peacock) Thompson, 85, a caring and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister went home to her heavenly father on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Houston Medical Center. Services celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with interment immediately following at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services. Reverend Jay Lauritsen will be officiating the services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital, 888 Pine St., Macon, GA 31201.
Beatrice was born on October 11, 1937, in Butler, GA to the late Elige and Jessie Mae (Moore) Peacock. She was a hard-working lady who dedicated her life to providing for her family. Beatrice spent over 30 years working at Keebler until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, gardening, growing all types of flowers, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Beatrice was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 34 years, Billy R. Thompson; son: Rodney Thompson; brothers: Joel, Curtis, and Johnny Peacock; great-grandson: Braxton Thompson.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Cheryl Railey (Carl); grandchildren: Keli Railey, Erika Thompson, and Jakob Railey; great-grandchildren: Karleigh, Liam, Jovi, Logan, and Adeline; brothers: Bobby Peacock (Kay) and Wayne “Buddy” Peacock (Dawn); her beloved dog, Charlie and several nieces and nephews.
