Obituary for Betty Jean Pittman (Perdue)
Fort Valley, GA – Betty Jean (Perdue) Pittman, 85, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family. Graveside services celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Oaklawn Cemetery in Fort Valley, GA.
Betty was born on March 26, 1937, in Perry, GA to the late Thomas and Lula V. (Dawson) Perdue. She dedicated her life to her family and taking care of their home. Betty enjoyed camping with her family and gardening her plants and flowers. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willie Clyde Pittman; daughter: Marlene Moye and her son, Thomas Pittman.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Deloris King of Macon, GA, Raymond Pittman (Penny) of Thomaston, GA, and Sandra Jackson (Tommy) of Roopville, GA; sister: Gail Davis (Fred) of Ten Mile, TN; grandchildren: Angela, Tyler, Anthony, Jessica, Adam, Christopher, and Katina; five great-grandchildren.
