Obituary for Bhaviniben Jagdish Patel (Patel)
Bhaviniben Patel, 53, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 5, 2021. Services celebrating her life will be held November 8, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Burpee Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with visitation 1 hour prior to service at Burpee Scott Memorial Chapel.
Bhavini was born in Wolverhampton, England, on April 18, 1968, and she was the oldest child of Jagdishbhai Patel and the late Bhanuben Patel. She spent her childhood in England, Canada, and the United States, graduating from Fullington Academy in Pinehurst, Georgia. Afterwards, Bhavini attended Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, studying political science.
Bhaviniben remained in the Central Georgia region. She was a devoted daughter to both her parents, helping manage their affairs. Bhavini also provided legal assistance to the community. She was an ardent follower of the Swaminarayan faith, and she participated in activities at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir. She understood the importance of selfless service to God, and Bhaviniben often helped people in the community as seva (service).
Bhavini was preceded in death by her mother, Bhanuben Patel, and her brother, Krishna J. Patel. Survivors include her father, Jagdishbhai Patel, sister Sharmila Patel and brother-in-law Philip Phillips of Tennessee, sister Kalpana Jagodzinski and brother-in-law David Jagodzinski of Kentucky, nephews Edward and Dylan, and many other relatives in England, Canada, India, and New Zealand.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Bhaviniben by giving donations in her memory to the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Perry, Georgia.
