Bonaire, GA – Bobbie H. Ferguson, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 1, 2021 while visiting family in Pickens, SC. Services celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with interment immediately following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. The visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the services from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Dr. Jim Perdue will be officiating the services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Masonic Children’s Home of Georgia, 1417 Nottingham Dr, Macon, GA 31211 or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
Bobbie was born on October 26, 1946 in Charleston, SC to the late Guynell Hendricks Poteat. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, where she enjoyed celebrating and worshipping the Lord. Bobbie loved cooking and bringing family together any opportunity she could, especially Thanksgiving. She enjoyed gardening, decorating and was very crafty when it came to creating just about anything. Her family was her life, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her mother, Bobbie was preceded in death by her beloved “Papa” Chester Ferguson; brothers: Ricky Poteat and Tony Payne.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Eddie Ferguson of Bonaire; son: Chuck Ferguson (Anae) of Bonaire; daughters: Brandi Highman (Jeff) of Palm Harbor, FL, and Betsy Ferguson (Justin Grypp) of Bonaire; 9 grandchildren: Abbey, Kelsee, Chaz, Lydia, Jack, Reese, Channing, Jonathan, and Mason; 2 great-grandchildren: Declan and Oliver; sister: Jerri Poteat Weber (Steve) of Dalton, GA.
