Obituary for Bobby Lee Starkey Jr.
Fort Valley, GA – Bobby Lee Starkey, Jr., 60, passed away unexpectedly on December 25, 2022. Services celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with interment immediately following at Magnolia Park Cemetery. The visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services. Reverend Jay Lauritsen will be officiating the services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Bobby’s honor to any animal shelter of your choosing.
Bobby was born on March 30, 1962, in Anchorage, AK to the late Bobby Lee Starkey, Sr. and Emma Lou (Wood) Starkey. He was currently employed with Pyrotechnic Specialties Incorporated in Byron, GA. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing guitar, and loved animals. In addition to his father, Bobby was preceded in death by his sister, Roseanna Dingler; brothers: Daniel and Danny Starkey, and his beloved dog, Buddy.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Emma Starkey of Warner Robins, GA; sisters: Emiley Schreiber of Colorado Springs, CO, and Christina Robbins of Atlanta, GA; six nieces; his dog, Bossy, and his cat, Lucky.
