Obituary for Brenda W Johnston (Wellborn)

Warner Robins, GA –Brenda W Johnston, 63, passed away suddenly but surrounded by family on Monday, November 22, 2021. A “drop in” celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 beginning at 4:00 pm at the family residence.

Brenda was born on July 14, 1958 in Macon, GA to the late William and Joann Wellborn. She was raised in Warner Robins, GA where she spent her life and worked locally as a teacher at Little Reason’s Learning Center. Brenda cherished watching the children learn and grow throughout her career, and had the biggest heart, especially for her family. Brenda was a devoted wife to her late husband and continued to carry on his memory with her every day. She spent hours in his memorial garden watching it grow with her children; her grandchildren grow and play there still today. She was never far from her family, and she will remain close to them even now. Everything she did was for her family, who remain strong and bonded because of her.

Brenda was a rock n’ roll woman that will be remembered for her sassy, fun-loving, honest, kindhearted personality. And maybe her flamingo pink hair and nose ring. Brenda was confident in herself and encouraged others to be the same; she never tolerated bullying and accepted others as they are without reservation. She had a very caring nature and would give to anyone.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Elijah Wellborn (Jessica) of Warner Robins, Charles Donald Johnston (Melanie) of Warner Robins, Crystal Johnston Harrell of Warner Robins, Lucy and Luke Johnston of Warner Robins; sister Sherry Wellborn of Warner Robins; grandchildren: Rosanna, Haley, Sierra, and Evan; great-grandson: Liam

With honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements. Her remains will be placed to rest alongside her beloved husband on November 26, 2021 in Batesville, Mississippi. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Mental Health America, or your local non-kill animal shelter
