Byron, GA – Brigitte Grace Medlock, 58, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. Services celebrating her life will be held Friday, March 10, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. The visitation will be held from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Everyone attending is encouraged to wear your University of Georgia red and black attire.
Brigitte was born on January 23, 1965, in Savannah, Georgia to Milton “Sonny” Medlock and the late Linda (Lipe) Strickland. She was a former employee of Mid-State Pools and Fleet Pride. In her free time, Brigitte enjoyed cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, vacationing in the mountains, hunting, and loving all animals. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her mother, Brigitte is preceded in death by her stepfather, Willie Strickland and her brother, Kip Medlock.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved wife of 28 years, Lori (Griffin) Medlock of Byron, GA; father: Milton “Sonny” Medlock (Beverly) of Mendes, GA; daughters: Katie Hall (T.J.) of Perry, GA, and Kimberly Cox (Chris) of Fort Valley, GA; grandchildren: Noah, Emmalee, and Kinslee; and brothers: Greg Strickland (Tammy) of Metter, GA and Tommy Strickland (Pam) of Glennville, GA, Lonnie Strickland (Kathy) of Statesboro, GA, and Donnie Strickland (Denise) of Claxton, GA; sisters: Lil Bridgett Averill (Jay) of Ludowici, GA, Renee Boyette of Glennville, GA, and Lindsey Strickland of Hagan, GA; special nieces: Sydney Strickland of Hiram, GA, Lizzie Mikell (Alex) of Metter, GA, and Maggie Medlock of Athens, GA; numerous other nieces, nephews and extended family.
