Obituary for Calvin Lee Baker

Byron, GA – Calvin L. Baker, 58, passed away from this earthly world to be with our Lord on May 1, 2022.
Beloved husband and father, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Renee L. (Blankenship) Baker, his son Douglas S. Baker of Lewistown, PA, and three grandchildren. Also surviving are his siter, Lynne D. Baker of Irwinville, GA, and brothers Dudley T. Baker and wife, Chris of Madison, AL, Mark D. Baker of Irwinville, GA, and Phillip C. Baker of Granville, PA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alan W. Baker, Sr, and Joyce (Earnest) Baker, his sister, Lark Jean Baker and his brother, Alan W. Baker, Jr.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Calvin was employed by the Macon Water Authority. He loved life and enjoyed the simple pleasures. He took joy in work, reading, hunting, golfing, and exploring historic and interesting landmarks throughout his travels.
A celebration of his life service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with Pastor Mark Hudgins officiating.
Calvin’s final wish is for his family and friends to celebrate his life, not mourn his death. He wants to hear joy and laughter. To honor his request, please DO NOT wear black attire, dress is casual.
