Obituary for Larry Moss

Perry, GA – Carroll Larry Moss, 65, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Houston Medical Center. A viewing and celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory from 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Reverend Johnny Brooks will be officiating.
Larry was born on December 4, 1955 in Bostwick, GA to the late Julian Albert Moss and Myrtice Lee (Ruark) Moss. He was a graduate of Perry High School. Larry was a retired supervisor from Parker Young Construction Company. He was a very good athlete having excelled in football and boxing. Larry was a member of the Masonic Lodge #35 in Perry, GA. He enjoyed shopping estate sales and hunting for a bargain. Larry was known as a tough and scrappy man, but underneath that persona he had a heart for children and family. Larry and Kathy fostered many children through the years and taught them what being a part of a family means. His greatest joy came from his family, in fact, his motto was “family is everything”.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 48 years, Kathy (Roberson) Moss of Perry; sons: Larry Moss (Laura), Greg Moss (Melissa) and Travis Moss (Dominique) all of Perry; daughters: Christina Moss of Omaha, NE, and Amber Moss of Perry; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother: Ruben Moss (Jackie) of Watkinsville, GA; sisters: Judy Sullivan (Joey) of Eatonton, Diane Wilson of Perry, and Mary Redmond of Perry; numerous nieces and nephews.
With honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
