Charles Anthony Hagewood, Jr.

Chuck passed away on September 10, 2021 at the age of 72. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. A native of Northern California, Chuck was born and raised in the Santa Clara area. At the age of 19, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served more than 20 years, deploying around the globe and ultimately retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. Following more than 30 years of total active military and civilian Federal service, Chuck continued his career as a lead engineer for several aviation companies and was a world-renowned expert on the T56 engine. Chuck was an avid golfer, 49ers fan, and a friend to all who knew him. As loving grandparents, Chuck and Sarah moved to Georgia in 2011 to be closer to their three grandchildren. Chuck is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sarah; his sister Karen; his daughter Sherri (Clay); and grandchildren Ryan, Tate, and Sophie.

Donations can be made in Chuck’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
