Obituary for Chong Anders (Park)

Chong P. Anders (Born February 20th, 1950; Died February 3rd, 2023) was born as Park Chong Cha in Seoul, South Korea to parents Park Dong Han (father) and Kim Yun Sik (mother). Chong entered into the world a few months before the Korean War began and was the eldest of six children. She was a loving daughter to her parents and helpful caregiver to her younger siblings.
After completing school in South Korea, Chong immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 18. She learned to speak English and started a family in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A few years later, she moved to Macon, Georgia, where she expanded her family and her life. Mrs. Anders believed in the value of hard work. She started and ran several businesses in Macon and Warner Robins, where she eventually settled down. Throughout her adult life, Chong continued to care for her family, raising her children in Georgia and supporting her sisters when they immigrated to the U.S.
Mrs. Anders was proud of her Korean heritage and to be a citizen in this country. She was a big supporter of the U.S. military and caregiver to her family when they needed it most. Ms. Anders was a smart, strong, independent woman who always had a positive outlook on life, despite the hardships she faced. Above all, she was a survivor. Her strength and compassion will be carried on through her family and loved ones. May she rest in peace and love.
Mrs. Anders is survived by her husband (Kris Anders), her children and grandchildren (son Kevin Stockstill with wife Jenney and their children Jackson, Maddux, Abbott, and Leyton; son Jason Stockstill and his child Morgan; daughter Deborah Gaudette with husband Gavin and their children Hazel and Jett; son Justin Lammon and his child Cadence) and her sister (Chun Jin-Yang with husband Alexander).
With Honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
