Christian Matthew Hicks ♠️ passed away at the age of 23 years old on Sunday, October 16, 2022. It was much too soon, and the pain is excruciating, but his family is comforted that the Lord has taken him in.
Christian grew up in the military and followed the family tradition of military service and was the first person in the family to serve his US Marine Corps. He lived across both oceans and all over the states. He loved all people and cultures and everyone that knew him fell instantly in love with him as friends.
Christian joined the US Marine Corps in 2018 and was trained as a radio operator. He was primarily assigned to 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines at 29 Palms. The Marines were his family and he served with dignity and honor.
Upon completion of military service in 2022 he returned home and immediately took a position as an HVAC technician. He had been planning on and finally bought his first 2 motorcycles for which you could see he had a passion. If there are bikes in heaven, boy, I hope you’re riding one now.
He is survived by his proud pop and beautiful mother, Ricky and Christina Hicks, his wonderful sister and her family, Amber, Mason, and Reese Breyer, his steadfast brother and his family, Jonathon Hicks and Kara Wilson, and by his brave and honorable Marine family from 3/7 - NO SHIT.

Please join us at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel Funeral Home to celebrate Christian’s memory. We’ll be there both Thursday 10/20 and Friday 10/21 but would prefer if you can to come Friday as this is when the USMC will present him with funeral honors. We expect the Marines to be on time at 6pm so please consider this if you want to be part of this amazing honor and tradition.
