Obituary for Clyde Richard Cannon

Fort Valley, GA – Clyde Richard Cannon, 79, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the Fountain Blue Rehabilitation and Nursing. Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Perry Memorial Gardens in Perry, GA.
Clyde was born on July 2, 1943, in Bryson City, NC to the late Morris and Mary Cannon. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Army. Clyde retired from Robins Air Force Base, where he worked as an aircraft sheet metal mechanic. As a kid, Clyde was an Eagle Scout. Early in his career, he worked as a welder and in his spare time he enjoyed gardening. In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Ann (Kayser) Cannon, and his sister, Bonnie Ashworth.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughters, Angelic Childress of Warner Robins, GA, Krista Scarborough (Joseph) of Perry, GA, and Lynnette Schwiegeraht of Greensboro, NC; five grandchildren: Jonathan Childress, Andrew Scarborough, Evan Scarborough, William Schwiegeraht, and Allison Schwiegeraht; brother: Grady Woods (Cindy) of Leeds, AL.
