Vienna, GA – Cynthia Carol “CiCi” Matthews-Prater, 60, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at the Heart of Georgia Inpatient Unit in Perry, GA. Services celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Vienna Church of God, 420 N 6th St., Vienna, GA 31092 with Pastor Scott Bryant officiating the services. The visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services at the church.
CiCi was born on October 26, 1961, in Albany, GA to the late Clyde M. Matthews and Anne (Olds) Matthews. She was a kind-hearted and giving lady, who always put others before herself. CiCi loved spending time with her mother, traveling with her husband, but could not wait to get back home! She enjoyed planting her flower garden and occasionally vegetables, but her greatest joy in life were her grandchildren. CiCi attended Vienna Church of God when she was home, but always made time to watch the services online when traveling with her beloved husband, Scout.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Willis “Scout” Prater of Vienna, GA; daughters: Melissa Goggins (Stephen) of Warner Robins, GA and Tiffany Hyatt (Josh) of Vienna, GA; Four grandchildren: Christopher Goggins, Hunter Varnadoe, Michael Hyatt, and Matthew Hyatt; brother: Mark Matthews of Spanaway, WA; sisters: Debra Goocey of Centerville, GA, Terri Matthews of Atlanta, GA, and Pam Matthews of Warner Robins, GA; numerous nieces and nephews.
