Obituary for Deborah Ann "Deb" Meddings (Dykie)

Deborah Ann (Dykie) Meddings, known to many as Deb was suddenly ushered into the
presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 14, 2023, at the age of 68. She was born on February 14, 1955, in Haddon Heights, NJ, to Isabelle McMorro and John Thomas Dykie, both of whom have preceded her in death.
Deb was a devoted Christian and had a deep and genuine relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was an active member of Sojourn Church, where she was affectionately known by the children as the "candy lady" and enjoyed fellowshipping with her brothers and sisters in Christ. Debbie was a disciple of the Word of God and always encouraged others to share her love for Jesus. She loved talking about her Lord and was always praying for and encouraging someone, concluding most of her messages with "God Bless".
She was a true inspiration to those around her and will be deeply missed.
Deb was a pharmaceutical technician by trade, and she enjoyed her work. She was known for her attention to detail and her dedication to her job. In addition to her career, she, and her husband, Rich, served in the Kairos Prison Ministry, where they shared their faith with prisoners and gave their time in ministry.
Deb adored her family and loved talking about them, often joking about having all boys, and
delighting in each one of them and their accomplishments. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Richard Meddings, their five sons, Richard (Richie), Christopher, Gregory (Ashley), Douglas, and Alec (Shelby), her five grandchildren, and her brother, Jack Dykie. Debbie's family will receive friends and family at her Memorial Services at Sojourn Church. The details of the Memorial Services are Friday, May.19th at 4:00 pm at Sojourn Church, 2238 US HWY. 41 N, Perry, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Abba House, 2089 US Hwy 41 S, Perry, GA 31069.
Debbie's hobbies were doing word puzzles, scenic car rides, and cheering for her hometown
Phillies and Eagles teams, but her love for Jesus and her dedication to her family and ministry will be her legacy. May her family and friends find comfort in knowing that she is now in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior.
With honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory, has been entrusted with arrangements.
