Obituary

Warner Robins, GA- Deloris O. (Tiegs) Denzine was born on May 14, 1927 in Croft, North Dakota to John W. Tiegs and Martha (Veeder) Tiegs. She was the eighth child of eleven children. Deloris grew up in McKenzie County, North Dakota. She moved to Fairview, ND, where she met Cliff Denzine whom she married on February 21, 1948. Their wedding took place at Lonsdale Methodist Church in Sidney, Montana.
She worked as a waitress and made enough tips to pay for their home – a 14-foot travel trailer. Her employment history included 6 years of Jerry’s Market and later at Yellowstone Mercantile.
In 1966, Deloris and Cliff moved to Springfield, Oregon. Here they began to foster parenting newborn babies. The babies were then adopted out at 6-8 months old. Deloris and Cliff accounted for a total of 94 babies over the years.
One of her most cherished hobbies during her older years was to purchase “stuffed” animals and donate them to children’s hospitals. Deloris is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cliff, daughter Lori, and nine of her siblings.
Deloris is survived by her daughter Jeanine Hawkins (Dale) of Warner Robins, Georgia, sister Alva Larson of San Diego, CA, 2 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Deloris went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2019, with her family at her bedside.
