Warner Robins, GA – Don M. Jackson, 86, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at his son’s home in Newnan, GA. Services celebrating his life will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 11:00 am at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Mr. Caulion Allen and Mr. Everett Green will be officiating the services. Don will be laid to rest in a private burial at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
Don was born in Sampson County, North Carolina to the late Fuller and Ila Jackson. He faithfully and honorably served his country in The United States Air Force, where he retired after 28 years of service as a Chief Master Sergeant. He served worldwide and was a Vietnam War Veteran obtaining the Bronze Star. Don spent the next 23 years working for Allen’s Tree Service in Centerville, GA. He was a former and long-time member of Evergreen Family Fellowship in Warner Robins.
Don is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Kay (Smith) Jackson of Warner Robins, GA; children: Fuller Scott Jackson (Donna) of Byron, GA, Donya Lynn Ledbetter (Lawrence) of Haymarket, VA, Michael Fitzgerald Jackson (Kelly) of Newnan, GA, and Terri Leigh Jackson (Cecil Paez) of Atlanta, GA; 11 grandchildren: Josiah, Lindsey, Micah, Moriah, Moreh, Gabriella, Jackson, Roman, Isabella, Nicholas, and Gabriel; 5 great-grandchildren: Adaline, Olivia, Wyatt, Audrey, and Carter; sister: Jean Jackson Honeycutt of Autryville, NC; sister-in-law: Dorothy Pope Jackson of Godwin, NC.
