Centerville, GA – Donald Clinton Crosby, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at his residence. Due to the recent covid-19 the family will be having a public memorial service announced later.
Donald was born on October 13, 1933 in Crawley, GA to the late Coach and Nezzie (Pearson) Crosby. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a butcher at Robins Air Force Base as a civil service employee until his retirement. Donald was a faithful member of Word of Life Worship Center, where he was a charter member. He was an ordained minister and loved spreading the word and love of Jesus Christ. He enjoyed gardening and fishing, but his greatest love was basketball. Donald played in several men’s basketball leagues and achieved various awards for his play. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Lee and his brother, Carroll Crosby.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 61 years, Maxine (Boatright) Crosby; son: Douglas Clinton Crosby (Rena) of Warner Robins; grandchildren: RyLea Kirkus and Ryan Kirkus.
