Don was born on September 15, 1943, in Tulsa, OK to the late Mault T. and Mildred (Childers) McDearmid. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. Don was the owner and operator of McDearmid’s Trucking Company. He was a man of great integrity, a protector of his family, and was an exceptional athlete. Don played semi pro baseball and major league softball. He enjoyed sports of all kinds, playing golf, but loved his Alabama Crimson Tide! In his spare time, Don enjoyed being outdoors on his lawnmower and tinkering around with things. He was not a handyman, but he was a master of duct tape and WD-40. Don was a faithful member of The Bridge Church, where he enjoyed the fellowship and worshipping the Lord. He loved his family and was so proud of each one of them. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by great-grandson, Jace Parsons, two sisters, two brothers, and a nephew.
