Obituary for Donald Monroe Wood
Perry, GA- Our beloved Don passed away on April 28,2020. He went home to be with his mother Irene Wood and his father Monroe Wood.
Don was born and and raised up in Perry Georgia, where he attended Perry high school and helped his family on their farm. He worked for Cox concessions until his retirement. He was a colorful and loving soul. He was equally kind to humans and animals. He loved his dogs and was a life long animal rescuer. He was a wonderful brother and confidant to his sisters Dana and Beth. He was a funny and loving uncle to his nephew Shane and adored his great nephew Parker.
He had many friends in both Georgia and Florida. He will be missed by everyone he touched.
A private graveside service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry, GA.
