Macon, GA- Dorothy LaVerne (Hamlin) Heath, 70, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Autumn Terrace Assisted Living in Perry, GA. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 11:00 am at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. The visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the services and immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Kindred Hospice, 319 Margie Dr, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
LaVerne was born on July 13, 1948 in Byron, GA to the late Henry Hubert Hamlin and Dorothy Mae (Tucker) Hamlin of Macon, GA. She was a retired clerk from the Houston County Utilities Department. LaVerne loved to bake and crochet and was exceptionally good at both. She was a very loving daughter, mother, and grandmother and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Dorothy Hamlin; daughters: Sandra Dendy (Steven) and their children, Hunter, Emily and Tatum; Tiffany Malone and her children, Kasey and Cody; Tonya McFarling (Tommy) and their children, Taylor (Amanda), Madeline, Lydia, Michael and Amanda; brothers: Wayne Hamlin (Joyce) and Kendall Hamlin (Linda) and many nieces and nephews.
