Macon, GA – Eddie Dean Conley, 68, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Medical Center Navicient Health. Graveside services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Pastor Derrell Etheridge will be officiating.
Eddie was born on April 8, 1952 in Eastman, GA to the late Calvin and Hazel (Spires) Conley. He worked as a self-employed contractor until his retirement. Eddie was known as a very hard-working and dedicated family man. He loved his family immensely, especially his grandchildren. He not only was a skilled carpenter, but also very skilled as a mechanic. Eddie enjoyed watching Gun Smoke, working on anything with a motor, and spending time with his family in his spare time.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Carole (Brown) Conley of Macon; children: Christy Conley of Warner Robins, Chris Conley of Warner Robins and Candy Thomas of Macon; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother: Buford Conley (Linda Allen) of Rhine; sister: Mary Grace Salyer (Charles) of Eastman; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
