Obituary for Edward Samuel Krout

Warner Robins, GA. – Edward Samuel Krout, 96, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at the Houston Medical Center. There will be a graveside memorial service celebrating his life on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Andersonville National Cemetery. Reverend Mike Slade will be officiating the service.
Edward was born on November 12, 1925, in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania to the late Samuel Edward Krout and Sadie Viola (Harmon) Krout. After high school he served in the United States Navy, and he also served in WWII. Edward owned and operated for over 20 years Whitey’s Service Station along with numerous other service stations. He also retired after 13 years with Caterpillar as a parts assembler. Edward was an avid golfer with 5 holes in one. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Warner Robins. He will be greatly missed by his family, his friends and all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his loving wife of 71 years Luella N. (Markle) Krout and his great-grandson Jordon Oberle.
Left to cherish his memory is his children: Sandy Jones (Wayne) of Perry, GA. And Terry Krout (Andrea) of Massachusetts; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
