Obituary for Eleanor Ouida Gibbens (Dorman)

Warner Robins, GA- Eleanor Ouida (Dorman) Gibbens, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at her residence. She will be laid to rest in Bay Pines National Cemetery with her beloved husband, Jess Woodrow Gibbens, at a date to be announced later.
Eleanor was born on March 21, 1925 in Mt. Savage, Maryland to the late William Stanley Dorman and Margaret Jane (Winebrenner) Dorman. She was primarily a homemaker, until becoming a realtor later in her adult life. Eleanor was very active in her community and church. She volunteered with Boy Scouts day camps and taught quilting at the Cultural Senior Center in Port Charlotte, Florida. Eleanor was very strong in her faith and enjoyed teaching youth Sunday School classes. She spent her life giving to others and investing her time and talents, especially to her family. In addition to her parents and husband, Eleanor was preceded in death by her son: Gary Wayne Gibbens; three grandchildren: Zach, Amber and Amanda, and her sisters: Dorthea and Priscilla.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Roy Gibbens of Mechanics Falls, ME, Patricia Gibbens of Warner Robins, GA, Donna Louthen of Orange City, FL and Glen Gibbens of Warner Robins, GA; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; sister: Maxine Wixom of Centreville, MD.
