Obituary for Glenda Savoy Heath (Barfield)
Macon, GA – Glenda Savoy (Barfield) Heath, 78, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at her residence. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with interment immediately following at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Reverend Todd Heath will be officiating.
Glenda was born on January 14, 1942 in Pitts, GA to the late Jessie Lee and Euletha (Patterson) Barfield. She was retired from Robins Air Force Base, where she worked as a civil service employee. Glenda was a faithful and devoted member Christ Worship Center in Hawkinsville, GA. She loved watching her sons and grandchildren as they participated in sports. When she was not supporting her children in sports, she could always be found routing for the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs. Glenda loved to shop and cook whenever the opportunity permitted. Her greatest joy came from her family and time spent with each one of them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, William Vine Heath; brother: Ronnie Barfield; brothers-in-law: Jimmy Pierce and Bob White.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Ricky Heath (Lisa), Randy Heath, Roger Heath (Billie Jo) and Todd Heath all of Macon; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers: Dennis Barfield (Sylvia) and Steve Barfield (Kim); sisters: Pat White, Sharon Pelt (Freddie) and Sheila Garza (Clem); several nieces, nephews and extended family.
