Obituary for Gracie ImaJean "Jean" Russell (Carroll)

Warner Robins, GA – Gracie ImaJean “Jean” (Carroll) Russell, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the Houston Medical Center. Services celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with interment immediately following at Perry Memorial Gardens. The visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services. Dr. Billy Thomas and Reverend Tim McLauchlin will be officiating the services.
Jean was born on August 5, 1939, in Broken Arrow, Ok to the late Albert and Ethel (Raines) Carroll. She retired as the secretary and treasurer of Russell Homes, Incorporated after many years of supporting her husband in their construction company. Jean enjoyed embroidering and crocheting hats for the homeless, working her flower gardens, and serving as church pianist for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Jean loved the Lord and worshipped Him at her church, Life Church in Perry, GA.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Richard Lee Russell of Warner Robins, GA; children: Debbie Olds (David) of Perry, GA, Darrah Russell (Jane) of Boston, MA, and Valerie Thomas (Billy) of Perry, GA; six grandchildren: Timothy Olds, La Nita Harless, B.J. Thomas, Victoria Russell, Jordan Russell, and Eric Olds; one great-grandchild: Crosby Harless.
