Obituary for Gregory Tukes

Warner Robins, GA – The Life of Gregory Tukes

On August 31st God called Gregory home from his labor. He was born to the late Mattie Tukes and Bennie Lee Tucker. He grew up in Warner Robins, GA. He got his education in Houston County school system. Greg was a great cook and loved to eat. His spiritual journey began at Houston Mount Zion Church. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Joyce Tukes of twenty-five years and a daughter, Kimberly Russell and his son-in-law, Kerry Russell. He has a stepdaughter, Melinda Lawrence and a stepson, Christopher Dodson, and his wife Andrena. He has three sisters, Elaine Tukes of Warner Robins, Marsha Tukes of Macon, and Victoria Richardson and her husband, Westley of Rowlett, TX. He also has three aunts, Eva Mae Walker of Warner Robins, Elizabeth Bell Brown of Perry, and Louise Lowe and her husband, Henry of Perry. He has two uncles, Ernest Tucker of Warner Robins, and Wayne Tucker of Centerville. Gregory had two sisters-in-law, Mary and her husband, Fred Bottom, and Theresa and her husband Anthony Smith. He had five brothers-in-law, L.A. Everette, George Dodson and his wife, Dorothy, Drew Dodson and his wife, Thelma, Walter Dodson and his wife, Joselyn, and Michael Dodson and his wife, Eloise. Six grandchildren: Jaden Jacoby Russell, Tommell Rodney Dean, Jr., Tyletha Romae Lawrence, Javanté Cortez Lawrence, Tomelia Nicole Lawrence, Ikechi John Kalo, Jr.; great-grandchildren: Ja’mier Cortez Lawrence, Tai’lyn Lawrence, Ka’mari Sy’more Lawrence, Ka’mya Neveah Lawrence, Kamarri Drielle Dean, and Damarri Tommell Dean, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Ann Tukes, and Sheila Ann Tukes, and his brother, Alton Davis.
