Obituary

Warner Robins, GA- Herschel Ausborne Baker, 87, died on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family. Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020 in McCalla, Alabama with interment immediately following the services.
Herschel was born on March 27, 1933 in Rockford, AL to the late Enoch Franklin and Bertha Delilia (Emfinger) Baker. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Army having served during the Korean Conflict. Herschel later went on work as an Electronics Switchman with General Telephone Company until his retirement. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Herschel will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Eunice (Brackner) Baker of Warner Robins, GA; daughters: Mona Grubbs, Diann Smith (Ron), Pamela Dapron, Amanda Shanahan (Brian), and Delilia Werner (Ralf); sons: Herschel Baker (Wendy), and Billy Baker (Nicole); 24 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 8 great - great grandchildren; sister: Carolyn Maddox; cousin: Bobby Baker (Juanita), who was as close as a brother
