Obituary for Hunter Stephen Lewis

A beloved son, brother, family member, and friend to many, Hunter Stephen Lewis (Boo and Hunt Bunt), passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
The son of Joel and Melanie Lewis, Hunter was born on August 5, 1998, in Macon, Georgia and was raised in Warner Robins. He graduated from Warner Robins High School in 2016. Hunter loved the outdoors, and in his younger years, you could find him on a sports field somewhere – especially a baseball diamond. His true passion though was fishing, and he’d like nothing more than to be on a pond somewhere casting a line. Hunter was a skilled fisherman, able to snag those big ones that many of us wish we could catch.
“OUR” Hunter truly belonged to all that knew and loved him. Those close to Hunter, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives, and with him goes a piece of all our hearts.
Hunter will forever be missed by his parents, Joel and Melanie Lewis; four brothers, Joel Lewis, Jr. (Kelli), Brandon Lewis (Tiffany), Wesley Lewis-Suddeth (Brittany), and Shelton Suddeth; grandparents, Clinton and Delores Stephens; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephew and a host of friends.
Hunter is now with those who preceded him in death, which include his grandfather, Wallace Lewis; grandmother, Lois Collins; Aunt Irene and Uncle Harley; Uncle Rudy, Aunt Carol and Uncle Glenn, Aunt Bonnie, Cousins Aaron Smith and Trey Starley; Jonathan Taunton; and Rascal. Hunter remains loved here on earth as well as in heaven.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Burpee-Scott on Saturday, October 2, 2021, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Hunter’s memorial service will be held immediately after at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to Mikado Baptist Church-NextStep program 6751 Houston Road Macon, GA 31216 or Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia-Rehabilitation Center 6601 Zebulon Road Macon, GA 31220.
