Obituary for Jack Hart Stevens

Fort Valley, GA – Jack Hart Stevens, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Fountain Blue Rehabilitation Center in Macon, GA. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Services celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with interment immediately following at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Reverend John Kersey, Reverend Clinton Fields and Reverend Billy Flowers will be officiating.
Jack was born on October 12, 1938 in Macon, GA to the late Boyce and Dora Mae (Smith) Stevens. He faithfully and honorably served his country in The United States Marine Corps. He worked as an auto parts shipping clerk at Riverside Ford in Macon, GA, until he retired. In his spare time, Jack enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and shopping at Home Depot. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sons and three daughters.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Runette (Simmons) Stevens of Fort Valley; sons: Jonathan Stevens (Renee) of Lizella, Coy Turner, Jr (Alecia) of Macon and Mike Turner (Tina) of Fort Valley; daughter: Laura Ogdon of Oglethorpe; brother: Herman Powell of Adrian; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
