Kathleen, Georgia- Jackie “Jack” Warner, Sr., 74, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his beloved family. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. The funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with entombment following at Parkway Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum. The family has requested that memorial donations please be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr, Warner Robins, GA 31088 or to Colon Cancer Research.
Jack was born on January 16, 1944 in Remerton, GA to the late Thayne Jackson and Edna Nell (Carter) Warner. He proudly and faithfully served his country in the United States Navy and worked until his retirement at Robins Air Force Base as a civil service employee. Jack enjoyed golfing and fishing but his greatest love was his family. He always put others before himself, especially his beloved wife who was first above everyone. He had a very generous and giving heart. Jack volunteered his time and talents on many occasion to assist anyone in need. He never met a stranger. Jack loved the Lord with all his heart and was a longtime member of Unity Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Mildred (Meade) Warner of Kathleen; son: Joey Warner (Michele) Warner of Warner Robins; daughter: Karen Warner of Byron; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister: Dianna Hall of Kathleen; brother: Robert Warner (Sherry) of Kathleen.
