Obituary for James Waylon Burrow

Warner Robins, GA – James Waylon Burrow, 40, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023, at his residence. A celebration of his life will be held in the fall in Denton, TX, but will be made public in advance. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the veteran’s service organization Mission 22, https://mission22.com/give.
Waylon was born on July 21, 1982, in Dallas, TX to the late James Woods and Jackie (Taylor) Burrow. He was adopted by the late Roger Burrow. Waylon faithfully served his country as an Aerial Porter in the United States Air Force, spending time in Alaska, Oklahoma, Korea, and Italy, along with two tours in Afghanistan. He was currently employed in civil service at Robins Air Force Base as a Logistics Management Specialist.
Waylon loved sports and could tell you any score you needed, specifically those of his Texas A&M Aggies, Dallas Cowboys, and Texas Rangers. He also loved watching live music and if that couldn’t be found, he’d settle for one of his playlists on the back patio. Waylon enjoyed traveling and seeing as many new places as he could. His proudest moment was earning his Aggie ring for his Master’s degree from Texas A&M University.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Captain Jessica Hobkirk-Burrow, USAF of San Antonio, TX; brother: Roy Burrow (Mirielle) of Prosper, TX; nephews: Grayson and Logan; Grandma: Betty Burrow of Hawley, TX; best friend and cousin: Jordan Myers of Electra, TX; aunts: Cindy Allen of Wichita Falls, TX and Vickey Reynolds of Abilene, TX; uncle: Vance Burrow (Patti) of Hawley, TX.
With honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
