Obituary for James Lewis Chapman

Macon – James “Jimmy” Chapman, 82, of Macon, Georgia passed away on November 16, 2020 at Pine Pointe Hospice as a result of a long battle with congestive heart failure. He was born to the late Mary Jewel Brake and the late Herschel Morris Chapman on June 9, 1938. Jimmy was an avid basketball and baseball player at Lanier High School, where he graduated in 1956.
He had a history in management and sales and retired from Jones Welding. He was also a thirty (30) year member of Houston Lake Country Club where he loved golfing.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Deborah; his step-son, Cliff Rumney and grandson, Tate Rumney. He is also survived by his sister, Connie Weeks (Tommy) and his sister-in-law, Louise Chapman. He was preceded in death by his brother, Herschel Chapman.
