Obituary for James Michael Martin

Macon, GA - Martin, James Michael, 68yrs, passed away peacefully surrounded by his son, Corbin; his daughter in love, Jordan and his girlfriend, Karen Czerwonky.
Michael was born in Birmingham, AL to the Delores (Dodie) Martin and the late James Christopher Martin. Michael was preceded in death by his dad, James Christopher Martin and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Mike (as his friends knew him) was a larger-than-life man that met no strangers. He gained many friends over the years in the various places he lived and worked. He was a huge sports fan and loved his BAMA football as well as love for cars.
He graduated from Southeast Fullford High School in 1972 and shortly afterwards joined the e Us Army with the 82nd Airborne Division in Ft. Bragg, NC. Michael previously worked as lead purchasing agent with Volvo Truck in Greensboro, NC; Bluebird Bus in Warner Robins, GA and retired while working with Conmet in Waynesville, NC. In 2018, Michael and Karen moved to Macon, GA to be closer to his son and daughter-in-love.
Michael is survived by his son, Corbin and daughter-in-love, Jordan; his mother, Delores Martin-Hinkle; sister, Kristy Bunting (Jerry); his nephews: Jason Bunting (Deborah), Justin Bunting, and his four great nephews: Jacob, Peyton, Jonah, and Cole. Those survived in the home, Karen Czerwonky, Mackenzie Czerwonky and grandson, Hawk.
Family and Friends are invited to a celebration gathering on Saturday, January 29, 2021, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at Forbis & Dick Funeral Home, 4601 Pleasant Garden Rd, Pleasant Garden, NC. Masks are strongly encouraged.
