Obituary for James Edward Ware

Fort Valley, GA – MSgt. James Edward Ware, USAF (Ret.), 74, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Lighthouse Community Church with interment immediately following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with military honors. Reverend Ricky Tidwell will be officiating the services.
James was born on May 6, 1946 in Macon, GA to the late Clyde Ware and Eloise (Slade) Fleetwood. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force where he retired at the rank of Master Sergeant. James continued his career in civil service at Robins Air Force Base where he also retired as an equipment specialist. James was an active member at Lighthouse Community Church in Byron. He served the church by assisting with the media and sound systems. James also served on the Executive Board with the SE Evangelistic Association. He enjoyed being outdoors working around his property, especially on his tractor. In his spare time, James enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Ellen (Mann) Ware; sons: Jeff Ware (Marie), Joe Ware (Beth), John Ware (Andrea), Jeremy Ware and Zachary Ware (Tamara); daughter: Cindy Ware; stepsons: Carey Grizzle (Amy) and Brian Grizzle (Kim); 23 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
