Obituary for James Edward "Jim" Willis

Warner Robins, GA – James “Jim” Edward Willis, 76, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. A memorial gathering for his family and friends will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory.
Jim was born on January 13, 1944 in Griffin, GA to the late Samuel Tolver and Minnie Murle (Medley) Willis. He was a 1964 graduate of Warner Robins High School. Jim faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a retired Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic from Robins Air Force Base. Jim was an extremely dedicated and loyal fan of the Warner Robins Demons and the University of Georgia Bulldawgs. He loved and looked forward to his trips to Panama City Beach with his family. Jim loved his family and will be dearly missed, but we know that he is resting in the presence of the Lord.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 47 years, Janet Willis of Warner Robins; sons: William Robert Heard, III of Byron, David Michael Heard of Warner Robins and James Christopher Willis of Warner Robins; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister: Elaine Scarborough (Ray) of Milledgeville.
