Obituary for Jamie Ruth Stielper (Walton)

Fort Valley, GA – Jamie Ruth (Walton) Stielper, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Villa Rose Assisted Living. Services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory with Chaplain Gene Saunders officiating the services. Jamie will be laid to rest at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fort Valley, GA. The visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Jamie was born on March 15, 1940, in Byron, GA to the late James and Irene (Rowland) Walton. She retired civil service from Robins Air Force Base, where she worked as an inventory manager. In her spare time, Jamie enjoyed reading, crocheting, and quilting. She had a love for cats, and frogs. Jamie was a woman of faith, having been raised as a Baptist. In addition to her parents, Jamie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Edward Stielper; brothers: James Monroe Walton, Jr., and Kenneth Larry Walton.
Left to cherish her memory are her step-daughters: Cathy Gilbert (Derrick), and Cristina Howlett (Donnie) both of Virginia Beach, VA; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister: Karen McNeal (Tim) of Gordon, GA; sister-in-law: Debra Walton and many beloved nieces and nephews.
