Obituary for Janice Lona Goff (Tomberlin)

Warner Robins, GA – Janice Lona (Tomberlin) Goff, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the Heart of Georgia Inpatient Unit in Perry, GA. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. She will be laid to rest at Georgia Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Heart of Georgia Hospice Inpatient Unit, 1120 Morningside Dr., Perry, GA 31069.
Janice was born on October 9, 1939 in Berrien County, GA to the late Joe and Lillie Mae (Hamm) Tomberlin. She was a retired teacher from the Twiggs County Board of Education. Janice enjoyed reading, yardwork, arts and crafts but her greatest joy came from her family. When she was able, Janice served and worshipped the Lord at Anchor Baptist Church in Warner Robins. In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elbert Goff; brother: Joe Tomberlin and his wife, Norma Lou.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Jonathan Goff (Jalanda), Cindy Harmon (Tony) and Karen Davis (Wayne); grandchildren: Jacob Goff, Jerry Harmon, John Harmon (Kim), Brandy Davis and Dr. David Davis (Dr. Amanda); great-grandchildren: Alexis Sparks, Julius Davis, Avery Davis, Madison Harmon and Robert Harmon; brother: Tom Tomberlin (Judy).
