Jeremy Brandon Johnson
He was born March 15, 1981 in Aurora to proud parents, James “Jim” Johnson and Sheila (Sloat) Johnson.
EARLY YEARS:
Jeremy grew up in Aurora and attended local schools before the family moved to Clearwater, FL.
EDUCATION
After graduating from high school Jeremy attended a local technical college but discovered a love of cooking instead. He flourished in the kitchen and continued to pursue the culinary arts when he lived in Hilton Head, SC before becoming a Master Chef at Hilton Gardens in Warner Robbins, GA. He was immensely proud of his mouthwatering, one-of-a-kind recipes and was never shy about sharing them with friends and family.
LIFE NOTES:
Inside the kitchen Jeremy was fearless and that kind of daredevil spirit followed him outside the kitchen as well. He loved the outdoors and caught thousands of waves on his surf board. If he left the beach, you could find him on the links, practicing his golf swing and rejoicing each time his ball found the bottom of the cup. Jeremy had a heart that was born for caring, giving and loving not m monly his friends and family, but his fellow man as well. He was first in line to help anyone in need, no matter the situation. Whether it was a paint job that needed to be done, a random gift to be given, or lending his last dollar, Jeremy never thought of himself first. He never complained, even when declining health stole his vitality, Jeremy continued to share his heart with others less fortunate. He gave his life to that cause and never thought twice. His family will forever remember his charitable heart and love for others, nor the perfect living room forts he made in his youngers years, moving furniture to just the right place and capping it all with a blanket or two. He looked up to his brother Chad and always had a ready laugh that was as contagious to anyone within earshot. There will never be anyone like Jeremy, but the memoires, stories and recipes he left will be cherished forever.
SURVIVORS:
He is survived by his mother, Sheila Bowden and his father, Jim Johnson; one brother, Chad Johnson, as sister, April (Jason) Farrington; Aunt Debbie and uncle Ricky, Nieces, Annie (Josh) Bee and Faith Olson and many many more nephews and cousins who will miss him dearly.
PRECEDED:
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wilma Sloat Carlson and Albert Sloat Jr., his paternal grandparents, Ann Fritz and Don Fritz; his aunt Sandra Sloat Olson Repp, uncle Rob Repp and Uncle J.T.
VISITATION / FUNERAL
Memorial services will be held at a later date in both Illinois and Georgia.
