Obituary for Jewell Faye Mullis (Horne)
Jewel Faye Mullis, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 15,2021 at Pinewood Manor Nursing Home. Services celebrating her life will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021, at 11:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel. The visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior. Entombment will follow immediately at Parkway Memorial Gardens.
Jewel was born on October 7, 1936, in Empire, GA to the late Horace Dewey Horne and Lydia Louise (Sapp) Horne. She was a wonderful homemaker that enjoyed working in the yard in her free time. When she was not at home, she enjoyed spending time with her friends at the local Waffle House.
Left to cherish her memory is her sons Jim Mullis, Jr. (Angie), and Danny Mullis (Dawn); grandchildren; Mari Etheridge (Hamin), Morgan Mullis, Chris Mullis (Jessica), Alicia Mullis (Scott), Michael Mullis, and Cheryl Mullis. Jewel had many brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her twin brother Gerald Ray Horne.
