Obituary for Joe Ann Kelly (Morrissey)
Mrs. Joe Ann Morrissey Kelly, 78, of Byron, GA died 08/10/2021 after an extended illness.
Born in Savannah, December 19, 1942 to Joseph Newell ‘Pete’ Morrissey and Bernice Akins Morrissey, Mrs. Kelly lived in Savannah for many years before settling in Warner Robins. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warner Robins and was retired from the city of Warner Robins, Recreation Department.
She was predeceased in death by her parents, her husband, Richard E. Kelly, Sr., her sister, Joy Morrissey, a granddaughter, Kelly Foster, and two infant children. She is survived by her three children, Mary ‘Michelle’ Kelly of Byron, GA, Richard E. Kelly, Jr. (Patricia) also of Byron, GA, and Joseph ‘Pete’ Kelly (DeeDee) of Maineville, OH; a sister, Ida Herb of Perry, GA; Five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Savannah, GA on 08/21/2021 at 11:00 AM, with a graveside service at Bonaventure Cemetery immediately following.
