Obituary for John Robert "Bob" Mangano

Perry, GA – John Robert “Bob” Mangano, 67, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the Houston Medical Center. At the request of his family services will be private.
Bob was born on June 2, 1953 in Atlantic City, NJ to Angie (Mangano) Miller of Warner Robins, GA. He was a 1971 graduate of Warner Robins High School. Bob went on to faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a former employee of Anchor Glass before beginning his career at Robins Air Force Base. He retired from Robins Air Force Base as an equipment specialist after many years in civil service. Bob enjoyed restoring his 1968 Chevy Chevelle, working in his yard, which was always immaculate. Bob loved bass fishing, going on cruises and cooking, especially authentic Italian cuisines. He was a former Boy Scout Master at Robins Air Force Base, troop #220 for 4 years. Bob took great pride in looking after his mother and being a great friend to so many. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Salvator and Sarah Mangano, and his aunt, Maria Mangano.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 31 years, Glenda (Bryant) Mangano of Perry, GA; mother: Angie (Mangano) Miller of Warner Robins, GA; uncles: John Mangano (Anna) of Mullica Hills, NJ, Alfio Mangano (Joann) of Burnsville, MN, and Anthony Mangano (Jane) of Woolwich Township, NJ; extended family and friends.
