John Marion Thacker, 85, of Bonaire, GA went to be with our Lord on Friday, February 19, 2021. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

John was born on November 29th, 1935 to Nora Marie and Cloyd Thacker. He graduated from Harrisville High School and then served 4 years in the United States Air Force. He received his bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State and worked civil service at Robins Air Force Base for 29 years. He spent his retired years working in his garden. John was a member of Bonaire United Methodist Church and had a heart for serving others.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Sara Nell Thacker; his children, Debra Thacker Burgin, Chuck (Barb) Naugle, and Gary Naugle; his grandchildren, Darla (Shawn) West, Derek (Becca) Burgin, Dusty (Fawn) Burgin, Paul (Carol) Naugle, Holly (Aaron) Eaton, and Gary (Raya) Naugle Jr.; great-grandchildren, Alayna and Serena West, Parker, Cooper, Elijah and Eliana Naugle, Avery and Allison Eaton, and Elisa Naugle; brother A.C. Thacker.

He was preceded in death by his parents Nora Marie and Cloyd Thacker; first wife Carol Thacker; son John Dennis Thacker; and brother Ray Thacker.
